In 2020, Camilla, the designer and founder of Libelula, was going through one of the most challenging times of her life. She was leaving parts of the life she knew behind and starting over, a change that felt both frightening and liberating at the same time.
In the middle of it all, her six-year-old son came to her holding a stone he had found in the soil beneath the trampoline in their garden. He asked if it was a diamond. Camilla knew at once that it was an amethyst, a crystal found all over the world, including in Norway, where she lives. It had most likely come from a deposit beneath the garden, and when they washed it, it shone a deep, bright purple.
He gave it to her as a gift for their new home. Camilla was deeply moved, knowing how much he loved the stone and how much he would probably have liked to keep it for himself.
The amethyst is known for its strength and healing, and Camilla had never needed either more. She took it as a sign that everything was going to be okay.
A line of brilliant stones that rests close along the collarbone, gradually getting smaller from the front towards the back. Elegant and luminous, it catches the light like a row of stars, bringing together heaven and earth in a piece made to be treasured for generations.
