The Art of hosting a Jewellery dinner
There is something special about gathering people around jewellery. It invites conversation, curiosity and closeness, and the evening becomes about more than the pieces themselves. On Sunday 27 of September I launched High Jewellery and invited a small group of women to an intimate dinner at Casa Cipriani in Milano.
Good hosting starts long before the first guest arrives. Order everything beforehand, from the drinks to the food, so nothing is left to chance on the day. Even more important is choosing a place where you trust the service to be seamless. When you know everything will run smoothly, you don't have to worry about the details, and you're free to do what matters most: be present in the moment with your guests.
I've always preferred intimate gatherings over big dinners. A smaller setting feels almost like being at home. People relax, conversations flow more easily, and the whole evening feels more personal. You connect with the people you've invited in a different way, and that's what makes it memorable.
Table seating is one of the quiet secrets of a good evening. Place people next to someone they don't know, but with whom they share something in common. New connections spark, conversations deepen, and before you know it, everyone stays a little longer than planned.
In the end, a beautiful event isn't about perfection. It's about creating a space where people feel welcome, and where the moments shared around the table stay with them long after.
With love,
Camilla
