Jewellery Trend Predictions for 2026

As a new year unfolds, I always take a moment to reflect on the shifts I see emerging — the shapes, stones and silhouettes that begin appearing across social media and within my own design process.

Jewellery should be timeless, elegant and expressive. While trends come and go, understanding them allows you to choose pieces that feel both of the moment and forever—modern now, yet enduring for years to come. 2026 is shaping up to be a year defined by clarity, sculptural elegance and a return to meaningful luxury.

This year’s pantone color is white — and with it comes diamonds.

Here are the trends I believe will define the year ahead…

THE DIAMOND STUD

This year, the statement earring becomes refined and architectural.
I’m seeing a strong move toward larger diamond studs — especially pear‑shaped stones and classic solitaire cuts. These fabolous earrings, the Palazzo Due,  are 3 ct each and are from Libelula's new Palazzo collection.

They bring a clean frame to the face, a sense of confidence without being too much.
Modern, effortless, and undeniably luxurious.

These are pieces that feel timeless from the moment you put them on.

LAYERED TENNIS JEWELLERY

Tennis jewellery is no longer reserved for formal moments — it has become a foundation of modern luxury.

In 2026, the look is curated- multiple tennis necklaces in staggered lengths, subtle variations in brilliance, a fluid layering of light across the collarbone.

It’s elevated but relaxed, luminous but never loud.

A look that works from morning meetings to evening dinners without changing your jewellery.

BALLERINA RINGS

Ballerina rings are making a graceful comeback, bringing vintage elegance back into modern jewellery trends. Characterized by their flared, tutu‑like halo of diamonds or gemstones, these rings create a dramatic burst of sparkle designed to mimic the movement of a dancer’s skirt.

I am currently designing a ballerina ring, and I cannot help but think that this trend is here to stay.

THIN DIAMOND BANDS

Delicate stacking rings continue to dominate and for good reason. They are timeless, personal and effortlessly sophisticated.

Whether worn alone or combined, thin diamond bands is a sign of subtle luxury. They add texture to the hand without overwhelming it, and pair beautifully with larger statement pieces.

They remain one of the most beloved essentials in fine jewellery.

EMERALD CUT STONES

The desire for structure and purity continues to grow, and the emerald cut captures this perfectly. It's geometry is serene and intentional — a stone that feels both classic and sharply contemporary. In 2026, I expect emerald cuts to lead the way in modern solitaire rings, signature pendants (including our own Moroccan‑inspired pieces), fine studs and layered combinations with round brilliants

It’s the cut for those who appreciate architectural beauty.

PINKY RINGS

The pinky ring has returned as a signature and it shows elegance, personal and beautifully expressive. This year, I’m seeing pinky rings in fine gold, micro‑pavé diamonds and deep green emeralds

Whether worn as a standalone statement or integrated into a full stack, the pinky ring feels undeniably modern — a small piece with strong presence.

The Libelula Ciel Blanchard  is a true classic that my clients adore!
